My name is Ahmed al-Hanjoul. I am originally from Palestine but was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. I am a photographer, and I've been living in Germany for ten years, holding German citizenship.

From a young age, I have been fascinated by art in all its forms. However, I discovered my true talent—photography—by accident. This journey began when I met a Lebanese man at a friend's house in Hamburg. He asked for my help in finding a used camera online for his son. The camera I eventually bought didn’t match his expectations, so I kept it. This serendipitous event marked the beginning of my photography journey.

As I started taking pictures, my passion for photography grew, prompting me to seek ways to elevate my skills to a professional level. My journey into photography began in earnest in 2014, starting with photographing flowers for about a year. I then moved on to photographing young boys, an experience that still holds significant meaning for me. Although I briefly explored photographing models, my true calling was capturing expressive faces.

Photographing faces is filled with silent details, reflecting human truth without pretense or exaggeration. This approach allows viewers to deeply connect with each character through their own perspectives and thoughts. I realized this aspect of photography resonated most with my personality, becoming my primary focus and pathway in the field.

I took my first steps towards success and, with gratitude, received numerous awards. I have won top places in various international and Arab photography competitions. Though I have achieved much, my dream is still unfolding, and I have a long way to go...
